What is Smart Select?
Smart Select is South Africa’s trusted online store for premium smartphones, electronics, and accessories. We offer both new and certified pre-owned devices at great prices. We get you the great smartphones without the heavy retail price tag.
Are your devices original and network unlocked?
Yes, all our phones are 100% original and factory unlocked for all major networks in South Africa.
How long does delivery take?
We offer nationwide delivery, usually within 1–4 working days for major cities. Outlying areas may take a little longer. We mainly utilise The Courier Guy for our deliveries so we will forward a tracking waybill number as soon as we've handed your device over to the courier. If you're close enough to one of our depots and we have stock - we do usually get our team members to facilitate the delivery.
Can I collect my order?
You can collect your order [only by appointment] - As we need to ensure that the stock is at the specific collection point. Returns & Replacements
What is your return policy?
You may return a device within 30 days, provided it’s in the same condition as delivered. Devices with damage will not be accepted.
What if my phone is faulty?
We offer a 30-day replacement guarantee for defective devices. Replacements are issued for the same model, and defects must not be caused by misuse.
Can I exchange my phone for a different colour or model?
We do not allow exchanges for cosmetic preferences. However, you can request a trade-in offer if you wish to sell the phone back to us.
Device Condition & Warranty
What condition are your pre-owned phones in?
Our Certified Pre-Owned phones are graded and tested for quality. Our own staff do a final test before hand off to the courier. We'd like the feel of each phone we send out to feel almost brand new where this deviates from the case - it will be put within a detailed description on the product page.
Do your phones come with a warranty?
Yes. All devices come with a 3-month warranty from Smart Select, and new phones may include manufacturer warranties or 6-month Smart Select Warranty
