Welcome to Smart Select . These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the purchase of any products offered by SmartSelect. By using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Overview

SmartSelect.co.za is an online retailer of smartphones, electronics, and accessories. All orders, returns, and communications are handled electronically unless otherwise stated.

2. Orders & Acceptance

• Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase, which is only accepted when payment is confirmed, and you receive an order confirmation.

• We reserve the right to cancel orders due to stock availability, pricing errors, or suspicion of fraud, in which case a full refund will be issued.

3. Pricing & Payment

• All prices on the site are in South African Rands (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.

• We accept payments via secure third-party gateways such as PayJustNow, PayFast, Instant EFT, and others listed at checkout.

• Orders will only be dispatched once full payment is received and confirmed.

4. Delivery

• We offer nationwide delivery. Standard delivery time is 1–4 business days for major cities.

• SmartSelect is not liable for delays caused by courier companies, acts of God, or incorrect shipping details provided by the customer.

• Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon delivery of goods to the specified address.

5. Product Condition & Descriptions

• We sell both new and certified pre-owned devices. The condition is clearly described on each product page.

• While we aim for accuracy, product images are for illustration purposes and minor differences may exist.

6. Returns & Replacements

You may return or request a replacement under the following terms:

• Returns: Accepted within 30 days, provided the item is in the same condition as received.

• Replacements: Only offered for defective or faulty devices, not for buyer’s remorse (e.g., wrong colour or model).

7. Warranties

• New devices may carry a manufacturer warranty or 6-month Smart Select Warranty.

• Pre-owned devices include a 3-month Smart Select warranty against defects not caused by misuse or accidental damage.

• Warranty claims must be accompanied by valid proof of purchase.

8. Trade-Ins

We offer trade-in options on select devices. All trade-ins are subject to:

• Final assessment of the device condition

• SmartSelect’s discretion on valuation and acceptance

• Devices with damage or iCloud/Google lock will be rejected

9. Limitation of Liability

SmartSelect will not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

• Delays in delivery due to courier errors or customer input

• Compatibility issues with networks or accessories not supplied by SmartSelect

Our total liability is limited to the value of the product purchased.

We respect your privacy and comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Please refer to our Privacy Policy to learn how we handle and safeguard your personal data.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on Smart Select (text, logos, images, product descriptions) is the intellectual property of Smart Select and may not be copied or used without written permission.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be handled within South African jurisdiction.
